Top line minutes in our minor league system with possible call ups
Could make the team in the 2nd year of his contract
Lots of Europeans on our team so he would feel more at home

The St. Louis Blues would like to offer Ossi Louhivaara (B) - RW the following contract.

Four years 4.4 million (1.1 M/year cap hit)

Reasons:
- Ossi exhibits great speed and the potential for great offensive output and would be very valuable to our team.
- Ossi would start out in the AHL to grow accustomed to the North American style game
- At four years and 4.4 million dollars, the St Louis organization is offering Ossi a lengthy contract that pays well in order for him to be comfortable in his new surroundings.
- Ossi would get first line minutes on the farm and will be re-evaluated at training camp next season. We believe he has tremendous upside and look forward to the possibility of Ossi contributing to our young squad competing for Lord Stanley's Cup.

Atlanta would like to remind his agent that with the short 2 year deal, he would most likely be receiving a raise, hence, why he didn't get offered a longer term deal.

Ossi has looked at the contracts he has been offered. Ossi feels it will take him several years before he fully adjusts to the NHL game. With that being said, Ossi thinks it would be most prudent to accept the 4 year term so that St. Louis can reap the full benefits of his development.
