UFA OFFER - Antti Aarnio

The St. Louis Blues would like to extend a contract offer to Antti Aarnio.

Term: 3 years 4 million (1.33 M/year cap hit)

Reasons: - Standard entry level length gives Aarnio enough time to prove himself in this league
- Aarnio will have a one way deal, and will stay up with St. Louis Blues.
- After Antti experienced so much success in the SM-liiga with Karpat Oulu recently, The Blues are hoping
to experience the same success as the Wild when they brought Niklas Backstrom over from the same club.
- St. Louis intends to be competitive in the next couple years, in hopes to add to Antti's already impressive
championship history.

Atlanta Thrashers would like to offer Antti Aarnio...

A 3 year 4.5million (1.5 M/year)

Reasons - One year deal that would see him spend his time up in the big leagues
- Have quite a few Europeans on the team
- Depending on if we could get any trades done, he would atleast get 3rd line minutes, if not, 2nd line duties with our club.
- Atlanta is slowly gathering young, high talent prospects and players to be competitive very soon and would love to see Antti evolve
a top line player with us.

Antti has taken several days to mull over the offers he has received and its excited to move over to North America.

All things considered, Antti feels that the best fit for him, at this time, is with the Atlanta Thrashers.
