Ducks Re-sign/Extend
Brendan Morrison (C) C - 1 year 2.750 M is offered a 2 year 4.000 M contract (2.000 M Annually)
We feel that Brendan is in the downswing of an illustrious career and feel a slight downgrade of salary is necessary
Todd Marchant (C) C - 1 year 2.518 M is offered a 1 year 2.000 M contract (2.000 M Annually)
We feel that Marchant, like Morrison, is beginning to slow down after a very successful career. We feel a drop in salary is necessary as he has not produced the points needed for his salary. We feel that now on the checking line he makes a decent salary and hope he stays with this fine organization
Rob Neidermayer (C) C - 1 year 2.000 M is offered a 3 year 7.500 M contract (2.500 M Annually)
We feel that Rob is an excellent checker and deserves a raise after being a key helper in our 2007 Cup run. He has settled and found a home in Anaheim and we hope he can stay longer
Samuel Pahlsson (C) C - 1 year 1.400 M is offered a 2 year 2.800 M contract (1.400 M Annually)
We feel that Sammy has produced exactly what a player of his calibre can produce. He is making fine money and hasnt shown quite enough to get a raise but has shown enough to maintain his fine salary.
Joakim Lindstrom (B) C - 1 year 0.500 M is offered a 3 year contract worth 6.000 M (2.000 M annually)
We feel Mr. Lindstrom has a very high upside and deserves a hefty raise.
Travis Moen (C) LW - 1 year 0.912 M is offered a 2 year 2.000 M contract (1.000 M annually)
We feel Travis has an exceptional amount of toughness within him as well as some decent hands, similar to a Darcy Hordichuk. He has never earned 7 digit money in the NHL and we feel he has finally earned the right to it
Brad May (C-) LW - 1 year 0.600 M is offered a 1 year 0.912 M contracts (0.912 M annually)
We feel May has shown the skill level of the Travis Moen of 2007-08 and deserves his exact contract type
Brad Larsen (C) LW - 1 year 0.530 M is offered a 4 year 3.000 M contract (0.750 M annually)
Mr. Larson has much to prove in the NHL and the Ducks feel this raise will keep in Anaheim where he will be given a chance at the NHL within 2 seasons if he signs this contract
George Parros (C) RW - 1 year 0.550 M is offered a 3 year 3.000 M contract (1.000 M annually)
We feel Mr. Parros has proven himself a worthy combatant in the NHL tough guy club and he deserves a raise
Francois Beauchemin (C) D - 1 year 1.650 M is offered a 3 year 12.000 M contract (4.000 M annually)
Francois has proven to be a key depth part of our organization. He is earning now top dollars and could soon be a top guy if Neidermayer and Pronger retire
Brian Salcido (A-) D - 1 year 0.850 M is offered a 3 year 4.000 M contract (1.333 M annually)
With his offensive upside, Salcido is a future top Anaheim dman and we feel this raise is necessary to secure his rights
Geoff Platt (B) C - RFA is offered a 2 year 2.500 M contract (1.250 M annually)
With his upside, we will give him 2 years to develop and then see where he is at and determine a new contract for now this raise should satisfy him
Drew Miller (B-) LW - RFA is offered a 3 year 3.000 M contract (1.000 M annually)
Again like Platt, has an upside but not quite like Platt. We will give Miller 3 years to devleop and see if he is worthy of a new contract from this fne organization
