Why would he leave? He's practically the lead face of this franchise, it would be rediculous for him to leave, unless he wants to retire in his prime years. I would go as far as to say that he's arguably more valuable to this team than Sakic is to Colorado.
For this thread, though, I'm just going to offer Gaborik here and put the others i want to extend in another post to get him out of the way first. As well as to hopefully avoid confusion in figuring out Gaborik's future pay.

Hossa just signed with Detroit at 7.450 and is rated the same with slightly less potential.

Gaborik wants 7.500 M/yr.
