The Edmonton Oilers officially offer: Joel Kwiatkowski (C) - D
a 2 year deal for 1.1 million (0.550 per year)

Reasons:

Kiwi will be an integral part of the Springfield Falcons using his pro experience to mentor the Oiler youth.

An opportunity for mid season call-ups/injury replacements on the back end.

Oilers management feels the offer to fellow junior teammate Tyler Bouck, will entice Joel to sign with the organization and play a few more seasons with his old friend in the pro ranks

Kwiatkoski goes to the Oilers.
