The Vancouver Canucks offer UFA Anton Axelsson the following contract:

Term: 3 years 2.760 M (0.920 M/yr cap hit)

Reasons:

Will get to live and play in one of the most Sweden friendsly cities in the NHL
Fellow scandinavians Edler Rahimi Salo Hansen and Ohlund
will get a legitimate shot next season at a spot on the big club
