St. Louis Contract Extension Offers

Drew Stafford (A-) RW - 1 year 0.984 M is offered an extension of 3 years 6 million (2.0 M/year cap hit).

Comparable to: Dustin Brown (A-) LW - 6 years 3.175 M and Robert Nilson (B) C - 3 years 2.000 M

Rob Schremp (A-) C - 1 year 0.650 M is offered an extension of 2 years 2 million (1.0 M/year cap hit) to FINALLY introduce him into the NHL.

Comparable to: Any rookie/player on an entry level deal

Matt Greene (C) D - 1 year 1.150 M is offered an extension of 4 years 7 million (1.750 M/year cap hit)

Comparable to: Kurt Sauer (C) D - 4 years 1.750 M and Carlo Coliacovo (C) D - 2 years 1.283 M

Stafford is looking for somewhere closer to 3.000 M/yr, and wants you to up the offer a bit.

Schremp is looking for something a little closer to 2.000 M/yr.

Greene, for the 4 years is looking for 8.000 M.

Since Drew hasn't even played a full season yet but has showed promise in the time he has spent in the NHL, St. Louis is willing to up the offer to 2.5 M/year over three years, or if he wants the 3.0 M/year we would like it to be a four year deal.

The St. Louis blues would like to remind Rob Schremp's agent that he has only managed to earn three games in the NHL. We believe that another contract similar to an entry level one is fair because he hasnt shown what he can do at the NHL level yet. IF he wants 2.0 M/year we are suggesting that he takes it over a four year term. Otherwise, the 2 year 2 million offer stands for the time being.

We are willing to accept Matt Greene's counter offer based on what he brings to this team not only on the ice, but in the dressing room as well.

Upon further negotiations with Mr. Schremp and his agent the St. Louis Blues would like to aknowledge Schremp's skill set and offer him 1.75M/year over three years. He could be due for a substantial raise after he proves he has what it takes to be an elite NHL player like scouts had predicted in his draft year.

Stafford is thinking 2.75m is a great figure for 3 years..

Schremp accept the 3 year offer.
