Re: UFA Offer - Marek Malik
Offers Malik 2 years @ 3M/yr
Reasons:
- Would help minnesota with their defense temporarily
- Would make 1st pairing for first year, and maybe second depending on schultz's advancement
- Would give minnesota another vet on defense other than just Zidlicky and Bergeron if you can consider him a vet yet.

Re: UFA Offer - Marek Malik
Marek has taken a night to ponder this difficult decision.
Given his recent injury problems, age and decline in performance he has opted to take the contract with the longest term as most other factors appear to be equal.
He accepts Flyer's offer. It is the best decision for him and his family.
