The Philadelphia Flyers offer UFA Karel Rachunek a contract.

Offer: 1 year 0.500 M

Reasons
-excellent chance to make the playoffs
-another year in the NHL
-stay in the East

Rachunek accepts the last second offer for one more shot at the NHL from Philadelphia.
